This sprawling contemporary Mexican home was designed by acclaimed French architect Jacques Brown in collaboration with the original Belgium owner Lud Verhelst. The minimalist architecture plays to the spacious organic nature of the property and seamlessly merges the exterior and interior areas. Whilst open, extravagant and modern, it is a uniquely warm and welcoming living space allowing for unobstructed spectacular panoramic vistas of both ocean and mountains.

The design brings the panoramic view in to all of the main areas of the home while overlooking the arched infinity pool sweeping out toward the sunset to the West along the Samaná Peninsula, Playa Cozon, Playa Bonita, Playa Perdida, North to the Ocean and Piedras de Las Ballenas and all around to Playa Las Ballenas.

The curved infinity pool features a swim up bar with built in under-water concrete bar stools. With a freestanding palapa, covering the outside entertainment bar, this is a perfect outside entertaining space all year round.

Additional internal entertaining space is provided for downstairs where there is a gym, massage room, pool table, table tennis table and TV lounge area.

Comfortably sleeping 18 people Villa Loma has a total of 8 bedrooms and 7  bathrooms. There are 3 full time members of staff  who serve the house during occupation; additional maids, cleaning and kitchen staff are available as and when  required.

argely of concrete construction the structure is cleverly softened by contrasting indigenous wood doors, windows and intricate inlaid stonework. The addition of the three central palapa thatch roof features add an air of majesty to this unique property. The imposing 30ft high main wooden palapa shelters the living room which is an open and dramatic  living space. Not only is the villa spacious and comfortable but it boasts unobstructed spectacular panoramic vistas of both ocean and mountains.

Activities

Las Terrenas village itself, is a chic beach town with bountiful restaurants catering for every taste. It is a vibrant village with bustling nightlife and range of conveniences. It does not have large clubs or chain restaurants, but rather it has a very intimate upmarket feel with boutique hotels and stylish bars and eateries. A local favourite being the tiny beach Mosquito Bar which is owned and run by French ex-patriate Vero who also runs a local magazine for the going’s on in Las Terrenas.
